Aitor Pomares joins Berenguer & Pomares in 2010, becoming partner of the firm in 2013.
He started his career in 2006 in a renowned Intellectual Property firm based in Madrid. Later, he joined the team of lawyers of a large German firm with a centre in Alicante.
He is a graduate in Law from the University Miguel Hernández of Elche (Spain) and holds a Master’s Degree ML/LLM in Intellectual Property and Information Society Law – Magister Lvcentinvs from the University of Alicante (Spain).
He is a lecturer of the Magister Lvcentinvs (ML/LLM) since the course 2011-2012 and an honorary collaborator in the area of Private International Law of the University Miguel Hernández of Elche. Likewise, he is a regular speaker in international forums of Intellectual Property and especially active in the field of Geographical Indications. He has also been hired as an expert advisor in many international cooperation projects sponsored by the European Commission as well as other public bodies, having provided assistance to countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America in the development of their legal frameworks in the field of Geographical Indications, in the strengthening of their quality figures or in the adhesion to international treaties.
He is a member of the Executive Commission of the Intellectual Property Section of the Bar Association of Alicante; Member of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA), and member of its Geographical Indications Committee.
