The Commercial Court N. 1 of Oviedo, on the 5th of April 2010 notified a Judgement which allowed the claim filed on behalf of the Consorzio of the P.D.O. Formaggio Parmigiano-Reggiano based on an infringement of the P.D.O. and on unfair competitions activities. This decision not only found that the use of the term ‘Parmeso’ was unlawful to distinguish grated cheese, but also ordered the payment of the damages claimed by the Consorzio, including moral damages.
